Building Energy Rating (BER) - Costs
SES will provide a detailed quote based on complexity and/or location of the dwelling(s) from information provided by a perspective client.
For existing dwellings costs are based on dwellings being located within a boundary formed by Mallow, Tipperary, Clonmel, Dungarvan and Cork City. BERs for existing dwellings can be provided outside this boundary subject to an additional travel charge based on location.
Site visits are not required for new dwellings and BER services are therefore offered on a national basis.
Multi-unit Developments: Costs per unit will progressively reduce dependent on the number of dwellings and repetition. The lower costs reflect the often repetitive nature of multi-unit developments (e.g. housing estate with 50 dwellings and 5 house types). Costs vary depending on the complexity of the geometry, the total number of dwellings and the number of different dwelling types on a development.
Note: All BER certificates are subject to an SEI Registration Fee of €25 + VAT (the BER assessor is responsible for collecting this fee). This cost will be included in any quote provided.
